Wet Wet Wet
Hopefully, the recent bad weather hasn't dampened your enthusiasm for all things Triumph. We have had a cracking start to the year trade wise, and everyone seems to be looking forward to this year's Triumph events more than ever. We have committed to more shows/events/racing meets this year than ever before. I won't be spending many weekends at home, that's for sure.
We have been out and about recently, using our Triumphs of course. At the last reckoning clocking up over 2,000 miles in less than two weeks with a quick blat down to the South coast to buy some new seats for the wife's 2.5. Then in the same car we went down to the Lydden race track near Dover to support the drivers who turned out for the first Canley Classics sponsored race challenge. Wow what a day, and what a race! Well done to Andy Vowell for one of the most spirited drives I've ever witnessed taking the chequered flag in first place after a mid-race spin that put him back into the middle runners. In the pouring rain he clawed his way through the field in a foreshortened (because of the rain) 10 lap dual to re-take the lead on the last lap.

What's happening new product wise? Well in the next month or so several exciting projects come to fruition. Some we have hinted at, and some we haven't! You will have to wait until we have them on the shelf to find out what they are, but be quick, if past experience is anything to go by they won't be there for long!
What's happening with the 'Rent to Race GT6' jointly sponsored with the TSSC? Well as some big wig once said on the TV programme Watchdog about his failure to deliver, 'we have been a victim of our own success', just before he was soundly lampooned by Nicky Campbell! The excuse is, we have had a remarkable start to the year trade wise which has meant the completion date for the Kastner tribute GT6 racer has slipped. Do not fear, I am now back on the case, even if I have been booted out of my own workshop! Yes its true, they ( from now on known as ex-work colleagues in the workshop) have chucked me and my GT6 project outside to fend for myself, well actually into the museum buildings. At least I can keep an eye on my Snap-On box in there!
Rent to Race - still in progress
For those of you with a gardening persuasion who visit us regularly, you may have noticed that the woods and lawns have looked a little dishevelled of late. Fear not - the lawnmower is back from its winter rebuild, we have purchased a chain saw, and now all we have to do is find time to attack two acres of winter neglect before we get the barbeque out. We might invite a few of you to the next famed Canley Classics barbeque/ camping event, if you are unlucky!
Talking about tidying up, if we get time and spare funds we really should be looking at doing the car park, how many times have we said that? In any event we seem to have acquired a few project cars over the winter that would be in the way if things did happen on the car park front. So if you're after a project/restoration car then look in our cars for sale pages, we have a good selection at the moment.
That's all for now, get that Triumph out of the garage and use it. That's an order!
