Coventry Transport Museum

The former Museum of British Road Transport recently re-opened to a blaze of publicity after a £7.5 million facelift. Based in Coventry City centre only 6 miles from Canley Classics, you could add it to your tour when next visiting us for spares! The Transport Museum sets out to tell the story of Motor City, which is effectively what Coventry was up until recently. All Coventry's past and present are represented, including Triumph with models such as the first production Dolomite Sprint, a cutaway Herald, a former West Midlands Police 2.5 saloon, and an Italia on display.

Other famous cars include Thrust SSC the current world land speed record car, and Princess Diana's Metro.

Now Coventry and the surrounds have 4 major transport themed museums, The Triumph Museum (at Canley Classics), Jaguar Heritage (at Browns Lane), The Motorcycle Museum (at Bickenhall), and Coventry Transport Museum (Coventry City Centre), give yourself a long weekend if you intend to visit the lot!

Now then, how do we go about securing a lottery grant for our own Triumph Museum's expansion?
