Welcome back!
You may have noticed that I have been away on holiday, no Blog for two weeks is a bit of a giveaway! Two weeks in sunny Greece was a welcome respite from the crappy summer we have been having. Great timing to find ourselves coming back to some decent weather here, and forecast to be nice for the next week or so. You wouldn't believe what a difference a couple of weeks of sunshine has on trade, its great, you all get those Triumphs out and break them or wear something out! Otherwise they tend to sit festering in garages, no good for us at all! As a full time Triumph driver myself, I think that regular use (every day) makes them more reliable, and less problematic. A motor sat for long periods in storage (2 weeeks or more) is just asking for trouble, we know we run a very busy workshop catering more and more for just such infrequently used pampered toys. I wondered after their two week lay off if the wife's and mine cars would have suffered sat on the drive at home. No problems though this morning with mine at least, although it did smell a little musty, or perhaps I had just got used to that before we went off on holiday?
I have a fair bit of catching up to do with the website in one way or another, mainly in getting loads of recently introduced products on to there so that we can sell them. Some of the stuff has been on stock for months, 4 cylinder alloy bellhousings (fits single rail and 3 rail), alloy 4 cyl distributor pedestals, Alphin brake drums, but if you don't know we have it then we can't sell it to you! My fault, time to knuckle down and get it advertised, and put some more energy into the new catalogue, up to 134 pages and counting! Just for comparison purposes the last John Kipping catalogue was only 93 pages! Still not promising when it will be finished, got to work out how we are going to pay for the first print run after I recently blew the budget on something spectacularly more impressive than a mere catalogue, watch this space!
